This couple looks so in love, right? It was so special to be a part of Ayemi and Kevin's wedding celebration. Ayemi is a good friend of mine. She was my core group leader, constant encourager and faithful friend. Seeing her marry the man the Lord chose for her was beyond words. I was super excited when she asked me to do her make-up because her beautiful Burmese skin was going to be radiant! She is a gorgeous girl to begin with, but she loves to take a little risk with make-up, so I knew it would be fun. We used a deep espresso cream shadow with a terracotta color pigment on top, which you would think would be bright, right? It was totally mellowed out by the cream shadow and gave her eye an incredible glow. Followed by thick black eyeliner to make her eye pop and some false eyelashes on the outside of her lashes. We gave her a pop of color on her cheeks and a pale pink lip. She was stunning.
The finished look, such a beautiful picture taken by Jeret Slack Photo (click here to go to their web site). Couldn't wait till the end to show this pretty picture!
This is one of her bridesmaids, Tracy, who you may recognize from a couple posts ago. I did Tracy's hair for her wedding. We kind of joke that I am her personal stylist because I have done her hair and make-up for so many occasions.
Hey Melissa!
ReplyDeleteThank you again for the amazing air of personal professionalism you brought to our wedding day. I'm a picky girl when it comes to makeup, so thank you for working with me to find what would work with my skin tone and many preferences and make me feel gorgeous on my special day! You are a tremendous talent and better yet, a tremendous woman and friend... thank you and may the Lord continue to bless your faithfulness in your work and life!
